The valves used in the paper industry mainly include: gate valves, butterfly valves, check valves, stop valves, pressure reducing valves, ball valves, traps, emergency shut-off valves, exhaust valves, throttle valves, balance valves, etc.
standard AISI 304 or 316 stainless steel gate is grinded and polished smoothly as mirror,which can effectively avoid damage of packing and seat through opening or closing and make a greater seal,the bottom of the gate edge is machined to a bevel,so that it cuts through the solids for a lighter seal in closed position, a knife protector can be provided for additional protection against dust.
The main media encountered in the production of the paper industry are: pulp, steam, water, sewage and black liquor. The pulp in the bleaching section contains a small amount of chloride ions, and the black liquor in the washing and alkali recovery department contains alkali. In addition, other media are rarely corrosive. In the whole production process, the pressure of the above-mentioned medium in the pipeline and container generally does not exceed 1.6MPa. The temperature of steam is the highest among all the media. For 1.6MPa steam, the temperature is 203ºC when it is saturated.
