Use of the Instrument 1.Setup, Leveling, and Centering Setup Place the tripod at the survey station, install the instrument in the mandatory centering hole of the tripod's base, and tighten the base fixing knob to stabilize the instrument. Adjust the height of the tripod so that the telescope's eyepiece is roughly at eye level. Adjust the tripod to center the bubble in the circular leveling vial. 2.Sighting Place the grid laser target at the target location. Rotate the telescope eyepiece to make the crosshair of the reticule clear, then rotate the focusing handwheel to make the image of the laser target clear on the reticule, and try to eliminate parallax as much as possible. This means that when the observer slightly moves their gaze, there should be no significant offset between the crosshair and the target. Otherwise, continue the above steps until there is no parallax. |
