Product Description

Aluminum Elbow Covers for Pipe Insulation
Aluminum elbow covers are pre-formed metal jacketing accessories designed specifically as critical complementary components to aluminum roll jacketing, intended to cover, protect, and weatherproof insulated 45° and 90° pipe elbows. As the ultimate outer metallic protective layer in mechanical insulation systems, they provide a secure, weatherproof finish at pipeline bends and directional changes where standard flat jacketing cannot be applied. Pipe elbows are often the weak point in any insulation system, and these covers ensure consistent insulation integrity and minimize heat loss and thermal bridges.
Design & Construction
Aluminum elbow covers are manufactured as two precision-formed, matching halves that are engineered to enclose and protect the insulation installed around pipe elbows. This two-piece design allows for easy assembly over pre-insulated pipe bends, eliminating the need for complex on-site sheet metal fabrication, and ensures a consistent overlap at the heel and throat joints for a secure, watertight fit.
Two-piece construction: Precision-formed matching halves
Universal fit design: Covers 90° insulation elbows regardless of pipe size, use of long or short radius fittings, or insulation thickness
Standard thickness: 0.024 inches (0.6 mm)
Surface finishes: Plain (mill finish) or stucco embossed texture available
Material: 1100 or 3003 series aluminum alloys
Compliance: Manufactured to meet ASTM C-450 specification

Universal Fit Sizing System
The universal fit design of aluminum elbow covers dramatically reduces inventory requirements while ensuring proper on-site fitment. A single cover is designed to fit a specific outer insulation diameter, regardless of pipe size, insulation thickness, or whether long or short radius pipe elbows are used.
