Product Description

Paper machine headbox
The paper machine headbox is equipment that supplies very low consistency stock into the forming section uniformly. The formation and uniformity of the final paper product depend on the dispersion of the fiber and filters. The furnish delivery system varies on the construction of the headbox. It has a significant effect on paper quality. All the headboxes are not suitable for all grades of paper and machine speeds. A well-constructed Headbox can provide high-quality board and paper and higher productivity. So the design should be proper. Nowadays hydraulic type headboxes are commonly used in the pulp and paper industry. The headbox is also known as the flow box.

Open Type Headbox

The headbox ensures smooth pulp flow without large eddy current, cross flow, and instantaneous speed fluctuation, and the speed distribution along the entire width of the paper machine is consistent. The concentration of all parts of the pulp flow on the net is uniform, and the fibers are evenly dispersed, which can prevent sedimentation and flocculation, to ensure that the flow rate of the paper material on the Internet can be controlled so that it is close to the speed of the network, and good forming conditions are obtained.

Features
1. The lateral quantitative difference of the finished paper is not more than ±1%.
2. The opening width difference between the upper lip and the lower lip is not more than 0.10mm.
3. The inner surface of the box is rough and close to the mirror surface. (The part in contact with the slurry will not be caught when the absorbent cotton passes through.)

 

Air cushion Headbox


The air cushion headbox consists of a square taper tube device, evener roll device, top lip plate adjusting device, box body, control system, spraying device, air path system, etc. The headbox is designed with customer performance parameters, which can ensure work performance. 
Can increase the sizing pressure to meet the requirements of medium and high-speed paper machines.
 

 

Hydraulic Headbox

The hydraulic headbox (hydraulic full-flow air cushion combined headbox) is suitable for paper machines with a speed of 350-1500m/min. The pulp flows from the conical stock distribution main pipe through a group of tube bundles with small diameters and step changes, and enters the Stabilizing room, there is an attenuation room above the stabilizing room.

It has an air cushion and spray device to eliminate air bubbles and reduce pressure pulses, and has an overflow outlet. After equal pressure, the slurry flows from the slurry stabilization chamber through the turbulence generator. Arrive at the upper weir plate of the converging channel.
 

Headbox Function

The headbox has many functions among them the following three functions are very important.
1. It spread the stock uniformly along the width of the forming fabrics.
2. It provides the stock at constant velocity according to the paper machine speed.
3. Create control turbulence and uniform suspension to eliminate fiber gathering.
4. If the headbox does not perform these functions correctly then the quality of the paper will be greatly hampered.
