A. Opening process

B. Closing process
1When closing, rotate the handwheel clockwise, the valve stem starts to descend and make the ball leave the valve seat and start to rotate.
2 Continue to rotate the handwheel, the valve stem is embedded in the role of the guide pin in the spiral groove, so that the valve stem and the ball at the same time to rotate 90 °.
3 When the valve is about to close, the ball has rotated 90° without contact with the seat.
4 In the last few revolutions of the handwheel rotation, the angular plane at the bottom of the valve stem mechanically wedges against the compressed sphere, so that it is pressed tightly against the valve seat to achieve a complete seal.
